The seasons are changing once again and it's a great time to fall into new fitness goals.
Leaves are getting ready to change colors. This is mother nature's signal to us that it's time to move on.
Just like mother nature, our bodies send us signals that it's time. Time to make some changes for your future. How well are you listening?
Are you burnt out at work? Do you have low energy? Is your blood pressure high? Are you stressed?
Maybe, it's time to turn over a new leaf! Why not?
Fall into new fitness goals with these exercises you can fit into any busy day.
Brisk Walk
Leave 10 or 15 minutes early for work, or your class or a meeting to take in a brisk walk in. Being outdoors, breathing fresh air is healthy for your body and your mind. Another great time to walk is after work or after dinner. Find a walking buddy to motivate each other to stay committed.
Stairs Workout
Stairs are everywhere you go. Put them to good use. Go up and down them for 10 minutes. Time yourself. Increase your time when you can. This is sure to give your legs and lungs a super workout! Your Fitbit and your heart will love you for it.
Swim for A Healthy Weight
Join your local YMCA, Recreational Center or local pool. Swimming is a low-impact activity that elevates your heart rate. The water also works as resistance for the body and helps you to strengthen, tighten and tone muscles. Sounds great, right? Time to get that suit on!
Workout While Watching TV
It's almost 8:00pm and your favorite reality show is coming on and you are super excited! Instead of grabbing the popcorn and chips, do some leg raises. Do arm lifts with small weights while your fav show is on. Plan a workout. Don't veg out. Get moving.
Start Planking
Planks are very effective for tightening and toning most of the muscle groups in your entire body. The best part is that it only takes a few minutes each day and you will see results very quickly. I am not sure why a planking craze hasn't hit yet, but it's time! Learn more about planking here.
